Dear EAB Community,
It's been so great to see all the students back on campus and visiting the iCommons again! Browsing the shelves, looking for new and different books. Making connections, learning about their own interests.
Here at the iCommons, choice in book selection is key to motivation. That's why we are continuously building a diverse collection of books for all ages.
LS and US students, as well as parents, can check out up to 7 books for 15 days.
Our online Catalog allows you to search all the titles in our collections, including ebooks.
The iCommons also offers several electronic resources to support students and teachers inside the classroom, and at home.
In our webpage, you can find the databases we subscribe to (BrainPOP, PebbleGO, Britannica, EBSCO, JSTOR), as well as online newspapers and magazines.
At EAB, we take academic integrity very seriously. For IB students, our librarian offers support with referencing and citations.
The iCommons is designed to make students engage with information in all its formats: books, academic journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, websites.
"When a student interacts with a text, whether in print or a digital format, it is an opportunity to fall in love with reading. Reading transports, opens minds, teaches empathy, entertains, and provides respite. All that and more awaits each time a book is opened." ("What Kids are Reading")
Let's encourage all kids to read widely and deeply, to read for fun, and to be forever free.
The iCommons team is happy to help you if you have any questions.

("What Kids are Reading")
