In the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2022, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. The High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2022 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Daniella Almeida, who has been at EAB for three years.
Daniella's favorite and most cherished moments at EAB will be "every memory with the girls in football" and "the girls that I sit with at lunch". She will remember these moments as "light and enjoyable". She will miss playing football, and along with this "the moments of laughter, fun and jokes" that "were the best part of (her) day". Dani says any time that she has a "moment where all I can find is negativity, I learned to keep my head up and my heart in place". She says that these memories "meant the world to" her.
Daniella will "miss the community as a whole, my friends and some of the teachers". She considers EAB to be "a part of (her) life and a phase that (she) had to go through". She says she feels "grateful as there are people that I am sure that I will carry on with me as I move forward". In summary, she "will miss the laughter, the kindness, my friends mostly and the routine".
She is proudest of her "development as a human being". Daniella states that in "the beginning, adapting myself at the school was a real challenge for me considering the background that I was coming from, however, with time, I learned several lessons with people, with teachers, and with the environment that molded me as a person". She will try to carry these lessons with her through life.
Daniella would like to thank her teammates because "every time they won or lost a game of football the girls collectively always taught me something with their positive mindset and energy, always encouraging each one of us to keep going and work hard". She says that at times, she "could be feeling awful, but they always found a way" to raise her spirits. She says the team is "engraved in her heart".
