In the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2022, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. he High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2022 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Eryk Wasielewski. Eryk has been a proud member of the EAB Community since his Junior year.
Eryk's favourite memory is of the day they first felt they "belong in the Senior class" at the Senior Picnic. They "had so much fun" with their friends and they "took some great pictures". Being at EAB has helped Eryk "find and embrace (their) true self" because "everyone here helped" them. They will most miss the people, "classmates and staff" who have always helped them to feel like they "belong somewhere".
Although the start of their time at EAB was "rough", they are proud of the "progress" they have made and believe it to be "incredible". Eryk credits a lot of this to the support he received from our High School Counselors, Ms Leishear and Mr Naylor, without whom Eryk "would not be where (they) are today". This is a place of great pride in their "academic progress" which was a direct result them embracing their identity which has led them "to unleash (their) true potential as a student". They want to thank both counselors for supporting them because they believe the progress they made this year has led to their acceptance at their "dream university".
Eryk's teachers will miss their trademark grin. They comment that Eryk has been a pleasure to teach, that their bravery is incredible and that they are humble, kind and caring. Everyone at EAB wishes Eryk all that is good in the world; they certainly have what it takes to be a strong, independent, fabulous human!
