n the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2022, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. he High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2022 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Ian Gerstenmayer. Ian has been a proud Bull for the past three years.
Ian's favourite memory is of when Hugo invited him to his birthday party. He remembers how the HL English class encouraged him to go, despite his initial "hesitation to do so". He will miss "not being able talk to (his) friends everyday". He will miss the routine and his teachers, who he says helped "lighten his mood" and engaged him in "interesting talks".
He is proudest of the life lessons and skills he has learned outside of his academic learning. He is also proud that he continues his efforts, even at his lowest ebb. He wants to thank his close friends, Hugo Daniel and Augusto for supporting him and talking to him during the school day. Ian also wants to thank his parents for "always having (his) back even when…the stress" is caused by his own anxiety.
Ian's teachers will remember him for his frank and forthright honesty, his sense of humour (even when hunting Pokemon!) and for being a true original in all senses of the word. Although Ian has yet to make decisions about his next steps, we have no doubt that what is for him will not pass him by and wish him every moment of happiness possible because he deserves this.
