Dear Current and Prospective Lower School Families,
Upon entering our campus and taking a brief stroll through our hallways, you will be welcomed with smiling faces and warm embraces from our students and staff. At EAB, we have an open and accepting atmosphere that helps form the foundation for a strong sense of community that runs throughout the entire campus.
From the initial years of PreK and K5, housed in our Early Childhood Program (ECP), through Grade 5, you will see our students actively engaged in developmentally appropriate ways designed to set them on a pathway of becoming empowered and self-directed human beings. Our goal is to foster learner-centered environments that give students voice and a strong sense of personal agency.
At EAB, we place a heavy emphasis on cultivating well-balanced individuals. Our school is committed to developing highly capable readers, writers, mathematicians, and critical thinkers. However, we are also equally dedicated to equipping our students with the requisite tools and resources to persevere through the many challenges, mistakes, and opportunities that come along with learning and growing in a shared space.
We want our students to ask “big” questions, and we are committed to creating a culture of inquiry in and out of the classroom that compels students to wonder, to investigate, to reflect, and to collaborate. Part of our school’s mission refers to “learners inspiring learners,” and this notion embodies the spirit by which both the children and the adults live and learn here at EAB.
If you are not presently part of our community, we hope you will consider joining the EAB Family! Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
