For New Families

We have welcome activities organized by our Parent Ambassador Group. Everyone is welcome to write to us if you would like to learn more, volunteer, or join the WhatsApp group for your children’s class. You can also join through our online volunteer form.

We have volunteer Room Parents for each class to keep parents informed about activities at the school through WhatsApp groups. The main objective of these groups is to connect you with the other families in your child/children’s grade(s). We hope you will share your contact details with us to ensure you can join the WhatsApp group for your relevant grade(s). We encourage all families to get involved in PTO and participate in the many school events throughout the year.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Division Liaisons with Room and Grade parents - The Parent Advisory Councils are designed to enhance and facilitate communication between parents and school principals and/or administration.

There are four Advisory Councils, one for Early Childhood, one for Lower School, one for Middle School, and one for High School.  Each Council consists of an Advisory Liaison (PTO-appointed and a member of the Executive Committee) and the Room Parents and Grade Representatives for each division.

These Councils meet with their division principals on a monthly basis to talk about new initiatives, parent concerns and any other issues that parents and principal determine necessary to discuss. To create the Council, each division’s Liaison selects a Room Parent and Representative/s for each grade level. Parent volunteers for these positions are solicited at the end of each school year.

Please contact Parent Teacher Organization if you are interested in volunteering for this role and would like to learn more about the position’s description. Participation in PTO Assemblies and workshops related to these roles are also key to showing interest and learning about them.

Parents who want to share topics of concern can reach out to their Room Parent or Grade Representative(s). Please remember that topics that go to the Advisory Council are those that apply to the whole grade in general. Personal issues must be taken directly to teachers and/or principals

To ensure that you are abreast of issues in your grade level, please get to know your Room Parent, your Grade Representatives and your Division’s Liaisons. They are a great source of information and a good point of contact to find out what is happening throughout the year.
