Activities & Athletics

At EAB, we are committed to enriching students' lives through meaningful extracurriculars experiences. Through Club EAB, Upper School Clubs, and Athletics, our programs are intentionally designed to reflect and reinforce the school's Mission and Vision.

We believe in helping students pursue excellence beyond the classroom by encouraging personal growth, building strong character, and developing leadership skills. Whether on the field, on stage, or in a club setting, students are empowered to explore new interests, form lasting connections, and make a positive impact in their community.

Lower School

Club EAB and LS Athletics offer enriching after-school extracurricular programs that enhance and complement the Lower School curriculum for students in K5 through 5th grade. These programs are provided free of charge. Additionally, we have partnered with Play Sports to expand our activity offerings; however, please note that Play Sports classes do require a participation fee.

Our schedule aligns with the end of the academic day to ensure a smooth transition:

  • 3:10 PM: Dismissal and Transition - This marks the end of the school day. Students not enrolled in Club EAB or LS Athletics should leave campus unless they have received special approval from the LS Principal to remain on-site.
  • 3:20 PM: Club EAB & LS Athletics Begin - Shortly after dismissal, students enjoy their afternoon snack before starting their activities.
  • 4:10 PM: Club EAB & LS Athletics Conclude - Dismissal continues until 4:30 PM

Upper School

Activities

At EAB, Upper School Clubs are designed to provide meaningful opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate and bring the school’s vision to life: to positively impact the world through excellence in academics, activities, arts, leadership, and service.

Most clubs are student-led, with the guidance and support of a faculty advisor. This structure empowers students to take initiative, develop leadership skills, and engage in civic, cultural, and recreational activities that promote a spirit of collaboration, respect, and social responsibility.

Some clubs organize school-wide events and tournaments, while others focus on discussion, advocacy, or creative exploration. Each club contributes in its own way to building a vibrant and inclusive community.

US Clubs typically meet from 3:20 to 4:10 p.m. or during lunch, depending on the needs and availability of the participants.

Athletics

At EAB, our Athletics program is rooted in education, inclusion, and healthy competition. We provide opportunities for students to participate in competitive teams while fostering a welcoming environment for all skill levels whenever possible.

Our goal is to guide student-athletes not only in developing technical skills and understanding their sport, but also in building positive relationships with teammates and coaches. Through their experience, students grow in confidence, resilience, and overall well-being.

EAB Athletics takes pride in competing to the best of our ability, maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere, and upholding strong sportsmanship—win or lose.

The program is guided by our Activities & Athletics Mission Statement and built on the foundation of the Five Pillars of EAB Athletics:

  • Safety

  • Responsibility

  • Communication

  • Sportsmanship

  • Growth

These pillars are at the heart of everything we do and reflect the life skills we aim to instill in our student-athletes. They are the cornerstone of our program and an essential part of the EAB Athletics philosophy.

"Activities & Athletics are a key part to the development of our students and community. We value offering educationally inclusive activities and teams whenever possible. Al Burr, a former NFHS President said:

“Nowhere do you find it in education like you find it in activities, that teachers are teaching what they want to teach to students who are learning what they want to learn, and both are willing to work hour after hour on their own time after school so that everything that can be taught is taught, and everything that can be learned is learned.”

You are welcome to read our Handbook to learn more about the variety of options for Activities and Athletics our students can participate in."
