EAB is now a CIS-Accredited School
Andrew Jones | Director of Teaching & Learning

Welcome to the new School Year 2022/2023. It is so exciting to be able to have you back on campus after so long!

I write with great news: we've been accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS)! After a two-year process of working with CIS, culminating in a weeklong visit in April, they awarded us accreditation this past June. CIS is an internationally-renowned educational organization that's accredited over 740 international schools, including schools like the Shanghai American School, Frankfurt International School, and the International School of Zug Luzern. Aside from CIS' impressive pedigree, we were drawn to CIS by their vision:

The CIS vision is to inspire the development of global citizens through high-quality international education: connecting ideas, cultures, and educators from every corner of the world.

Throughout our two-year accreditation journey, partnering with CIS allowed us to take an honest and reflective look at our school, celebrate what we're doing well, and make strategic plans for future improvements. The best part of this process was that it included students, teachers, administrators, parents, and EAB Board members. We wanted to hear from as many voices as possible to help us take a deep dive into who we are and, just as importantly, where we'd like to go. The feedback we received from CIS will allow us to further develop our students as global citizens as we help prepare them for the real world. We're grateful to CIS for partnering with us and grateful to everyone who put effort into the process of us being awarded accreditation!
