iCommons: Book Check-Out for the School Break

Summer reading is extremely important! It can inspire a love of reading, develop comprehension skills, increase vocabulary, and build background knowledge.

To help parents/guardians with this mission to keep kids reading, the iCommons invites you to come to school to check out books during the last week of school, from June 6th to 8th.

  • Lower School Parents will be sent an email to select the day and time of the visit, and they will be allowed up to 14 books.
     
  • Upper School Parents can contact the iCommons (icommons@eabdf.br) informing the day and time of the visit, and they will be allowed up to 10 books.

Students will check out books for the school break from May 30th to June 8th during their weekly iCommons visits.

On those days, please send bags so kids can carry the books they will freely select.

Here are EAB Lower School and Upper School reading recommendation lists. Most of the titles you can find in the iCommons collection. Check which books are available through our Catalog.

Ler durante as férias é de extrema importância! Pode inspirar o amor pela leitura, desenvolver habilidades de compreensão, aumentar o vocabulário, e gerar conhecimento.

Para ajudar os pais/responsáveis na missão de manter as crianças lendo, o iCommons os convida a fazer empréstimos de livros para as férias, durante a última semana de aula, do dia 6 a 8 de junho.

  • Pais/Responsáveis do Lower School receberão um email para selecionar um dia e horário para a visita, e poderão pegar até 14 livros emprestados.
     
  • Pais/Responsáveis do Upper School deverão entrar em contato com o  iCommons (icommons@eabdf.br) informando o dia e o horário da visita, e poderão pegar até 10 livros emprestados.

Os alunos farão os empréstimos para as férias entre 30 de maio e 8 de junho, durante as visitas semanais ao iCommons.

Nestes dias, por favor, enviem sacolas para que os alunos possam carregar os livros que eles escolherão livremente.

Aqui estão as listas de sugestões de leitura para os alunos da EAB da Educação Infantil e dos Ensinos Fundamental e Médio. A maioria dos títulos você encontra na coleção do iCommons. Verifique se os livros estão disponíveis usando nosso Catálogo.
