Parent Session with Julie Stern
Andrew Jones, Director of Teaching & Learning

Dear EAB Community,

To celebrate the school year return, I would like to invite you to attend a Parent Night Session with transfer learning expert Julie Stern on August 18 at 6 pm in our Auditorium. She will be presenting "Learning for a Complex, Ever-Changing World" to focus on how we can all move forward as learning communities to best prepare our students for the world they'll be headed into.

Julie Stern has nearly two decades of experience working with teachers, and she feels lucky to partner with educators to take their practice to the next level. She will be visiting EAB mostly to work with our teachers, but we also want to include you in this great learning opportunity.

Julie is passionate about synthesizing the best of education research into practical tools that support educators in breaking free from the industrial model of schooling and moving toward teaching and learning that promotes sustainability, equity, and well-being. She is a four-time, best-selling author of Learning that Transfers, Visible Learning for Social Studies, The On-Your-Feet-Guide to Learning Transfer, and Tools for Teaching Conceptual Understanding, Elementary, and Secondary. She is a certified trainer in Visible Learning Plus and Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction. She is a James Madison Constitutional Fellow and taught social studies for many years in Washington D.C. and her native Louisiana.

We are thrilled to have Julie Stern sharing her knowledge with us and would love to have you here.

English to Portuguese translation will be available!

Please, fill out this form by August 16 if you would like to attend.
