Teachers Teaching Teachers

The Teachers Teaching Teachers (TTT) Sessions happen every Wednesday and were designed as a chance for our faculty and staff to share their incredible wealth of knowledge with each other. 

This week we had Ms. Cynde Reneau, our Technology Integrationist and Upper School Design/Robotics Teacher, talking about Rubistar. 

Why did you choose this theme to teach?

I chose to teach teachers about a simple tool that helps with the daily struggle teachers have, and that's giving good assessments. Teachers always need to provide expectations to students before assessments in the form of a rubric. I wanted to show a simple way to help organize a rubric in a form students can understand.

How do you think this will impact students?

By showing teachers how to create beautiful and easy-to-read rubrics, students will know what their expectations are before an assessment is given. Teachers will be able to create these for every assignment giving students the understanding of how to do their best on these assessments.
