In the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2020, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. Though many of the Senior Traditions cannot happen this year, the High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2020 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Flavio Hoff Britto Dias.
Flavio has been a dedicated member of the EAB Community since arriving on campus in tenth grade. His trademark assembly scream showed his commitment to the EAB team! Flavio feels great pride that he now "understands what he wants to do with his life" when he leaves EAB. Flavio's favourite memories all happened in Ms Luciana's Portuguese classes in Senior year. He recalls singing happy birthday to his computer with the class, something unsurprising given Flavio's "passion for geeking out" (Mr Albasri). He misses "hanging out with his friends" who no doubt also miss Flavio in their lives. The younger students Flavio assisted in coding class will also miss his support in their lessons.
His teachers are unanimous in their praise for Flavio's participation and vast array of knowledge. For a young man, the variety of knowledge is so impressive. Ms Sherdan says "from medieval warfare to Greek mythology, not a day goes by we don't learn something new when Flavio is there". This is echoed by Mr Albasri, who calls Flavio his "tech-support for coding" as well as Ms Gracinha who raves about the "facts Flavio brought", particularly during the crisis when he "kept us all informed about what was going on in the DF Administration". Ms Luciana will remember him as a "polite, gentle and giving" student who will go on to "make the world a more just" place.
Flavio would like to thank his "teachers and peers" for his "great time at EAB".
Following graduation, Flavio will attend university. A "teacher of teachers" (Ms Sherdan) Flavio will doubtless go on to shine in the academic world, perhaps even the political realm. Wherever Flavio goes, we know he will make his presence felt. Thank you for the coffee candies, Flavio!
