In the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2020, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. Though many of the Senior Traditions cannot happen this year, the High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2021 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Fernanda Ferreira.
Fernanda has been a proud Bull for the past two years. In that short time she has integrated into the EAB Community extremely well. She has wonderful memories of the Bulls Invitational, various MUN conferences, and the events she and her Senior classmates have participated in over the past year. As a result of her friendships and participation in activities, Fe will miss lunchtime chatting sessions with her peers, the clubs she participated in, and sports once she graduates.
As a student who has lived on her own for the past two years, Fernanda is extremely proud of her ability to overcome challenges, resilience, and the knowledge and skills she has developed while a student at EAB. Her teachers concur and when asked about Fernanda they mention her maturity, organization, and determination as obvious strengths. One teacher stated that Fe is "an inspiration to her colleagues as well as for any educator." Another marveled at the fact that Fe once showed up to a scheduled Zoom meeting from a hospital bed and noted that "her sense of responsibility and desire to help others was astounding!".
After graduation, Fernanda plans to attend university in the United Kingdom or the United States in the hopes of being a social economist with the goal of alleviating poverty and social injustice. As she leaves EAB, Fe would like to thank her parents, teachers, and the entire faculty and staff of EAB for all they have done to make her dreams come true.
We know that wherever Fe goes and whatever she does, she will make EAB proud. We wish her nothing but the best.
