Senior Spotlight: Fernanda Ferreira

In the final weeks leading up to Graduation Day 2020, EAB will celebrate each of its Seniors via the Senior Spotlight. Though many of the Senior Traditions cannot happen this year, the High School Faculty is committed to making sure each member of the Class of 2021 knows how much they have meant to this school and how proud we are of them. Today, the Senior in the spotlight is Fernanda Ferreira.

Fernanda has been a proud Bull for the past two years. In that short time she has integrated into the EAB Community extremely well.  She has wonderful memories of the Bulls Invitational, various MUN conferences, and the events she and her Senior classmates have participated in over the past year. As a result of her friendships and participation in activities, Fe will miss lunchtime chatting sessions with her peers, the clubs she participated in, and sports once she graduates.

As a student who has lived on her own for the past two years, Fernanda is extremely proud of her ability to overcome challenges, resilience, and the knowledge and skills she has developed while a student at EAB. Her teachers concur and when asked about Fernanda they mention her maturity, organization, and determination as obvious strengths.  One teacher stated that Fe is "an inspiration to her colleagues as well as for any educator." Another marveled at the fact that Fe once showed up to a scheduled Zoom meeting from a hospital bed and noted that  "her sense of responsibility and desire to help others was astounding!".

After graduation, Fernanda plans to attend university in the United Kingdom or the United States in the hopes of being a social economist with the goal of alleviating poverty and social injustice. As she leaves EAB, Fe would like to thank her parents, teachers, and the entire faculty and staff of EAB for all they have done to make her dreams come true.

We know that wherever Fe goes and whatever she does, she will make EAB proud. We wish her nothing but the best.

Senior Spotlight 2021
Senior Spotlight: Isabela Farag
April 13, 2021
Bela loves to support her peers, cheering for them at sports events. She has been a cheerleader since second grade, and she says that her most memorable moments have been as a part of that team. She will miss them so much when she leaves. Bela is proud of all of her accomplishments in class, and she is also proud of the friendships she has developed in her 14 years at EAB.
Senior Spotlight: Iago Rossetto
April 12, 2021
Joining EAB mid year last year, Iago quickly assimilated into EAB and has been a felt presence on campus, especially in the science labs. With a passion for science, specifically engineering, Iago has not only enjoyed his time spent in the laboratories working on his IA but has excelled at it. This passion and talent for science and math has led him to serve the MAST club at EAB and serve the greater EAB community by providing his extraordinary tutoring skills to those in need.
Senior Spotlight: Gabriela de Araujo
April 9, 2021
Gabriela has been at EAB for 12 years, after arriving on campus in K5. While spending practically all her academic life at EAB, it is easy to see why she considers EAB as her second home. All these years have brought Gabi countless memories, but nothing will compare to the excitement of winning Little 8 at NR in 7th Grade and bringing home the Silver Medal from the MathCounts when she was in 8th Grade.
Senior Spotlight: Elisa Uccello
April 8, 2021
Elisa joined the EAB Community in third grade and has been a proud Bull for 10 years. During her trajectory as a standout student-athlete, Elisa will cherish the memories of representing EAB at NR alongside her teammates the most. Her prowess and effort earned Elisa not only individual accolades but also presented her with lifelong friendships.
Senior Spotlight: Kevin Simonson
April 7, 2021
Although he has only been a member of the EAB community for the past two years, Kevin has certainly left his mark on the school. A friendly and outgoing student, he is most proud of getting to know so many people during his time with us, and, indeed, anytime you see Kevin, he is surrounded by friends. His relaxed nature makes him fun to talk to, both in and out of class.
